The constituent of Earth *wAtEr*

Thinking of what one need to survive, I decided to say some things on water.I know everyone is very familiar with water so no need for definitions.

WATER wow!….. here we go.

Scientifically, it is made up of Hydrogen and Oxygen gases in a ratio of 2:1 respectively and can exist in three different states. Living things are all made with water like in human, according to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, their brains and hearts are composed of 73% water, and their lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and even their bones are watery: 31%. While about 90-95% of plants is water. About 71% of the earth’s surface is covered with water, but 97 percent of that is salty ocean water and not suitable for drinking.The rest three percent of drinkable freshwater are found in some places like ice caps, countries like (Brazil, Russia, Canada, Indonesia, China and Colombia) with 50 percent of the world’s freshwater reserves.One-third of the world’s population lives in “water-stressed” countries, (like UAE, Qatar, Jamaica, Pakistan, Morocco etc.) defined as a country’s ratio of water consumption to water availability. Countries labelled as moderate to high stress consume 20 percent more water than their available supply.  Also, water exists in some places in the solar system like (Venus, Europa, Enceladus, Ganymede, Callisto, Ceres, Mars, Dione, Titan, Mimas, Triton & Mercury).

Finally, I will conclude by quoting from what Gallo (David Gallo, an oceanographer at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI).)said:

“There’s not a lot of water on Earth at all,”
If the Earth was an apple, Gallo said, the water layer would be thinner than the fruit’s skin. The Earth’s freshwater is even rarer.
“For humanity to thrive, or even exist, we need to sprinkle that teeny bit of fresh water in the right places, at the right times and in just the right amounts,” Gallo said.
