A Mountainous Home To Numerous Lakes, Villages And The High Peaks Of The Alps*(S-W-I-T-Z-E-R-L-A-N-D)*

Switzerland is a mountainous Central European country, known for its ski resorts,  hiking trails, Swiss watches and chocolate.

It has an area of 41285 km²  with a population of more than 8.081 million persons.There are four official languages in Switzerland; German,  French, Italian and Romansh. 74% of the citizens speak in German, 20% in French 4% in Italian and 1% in Romansh.The remaining 1% of them speak in other languages.The official name of Switzerland is Confoederatio Helvetica in Latin which means Swiss Confederation.The name of the capital of Switzerland is Bern, while it’s largest city is Zürich.There are more than 1500 lakes in Switzerland containing around 6% of Europe’s freshwater stocks. The largest of these lakes are Lake Geneva, Lake Constance and Lake Maggiore. Some places in Switzerland include Swiss national park, Lugano, Grindelwald, and lots more.
